ThinkMode+ ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ThinkMode+ browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, as well as the website thinkmodeplus.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By installing the extension or using our website you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use of the website.
When you create an account, you may provide us with an email address. We have not integrated any payments yet, and we do not collect payment information. In the future, when paid plans are introduced, payment information will be processed entirely by Dodo Payments — we will never see or store your full credit card number.
ThinkMode+ stores your extension preferences (such as which AI platforms are enabled and your preferred thinking mode) using the Chrome Storage Sync API. This data is tied to your browser profile and synced across your signed-in devices by Google. We do not transmit this data to our own servers.

ThinkMode+ is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. When you install the extension, Google or Microsoft may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies independently.
We do not currently process payments. In the future, subscription payments will be handled by Dodo Payments. We will receive only a tokenized reference and the status of your subscription — never your full card details.
ThinkMode+ modifies the user interface of ChatGPT to enable extended thinking features. The extension does not intercept, read, or transmit any of your prompt or conversation data. Your interactions with the platform remain governed by their respective privacy policy.
When the optional "Precision Mode" feature is enabled by the user, the extension intercepts outgoing conversation requests to ChatGPT on the user's local device solely to append a fixed system directive ("[System Directive: Think step-by-step. Verify factual claims before stating them. Prioritize absolute accuracy.]") to the user's message before it is sent. This interception occurs entirely client-side; no message content is read, stored, logged, or transmitted to ThinkMode+ servers. The interception is disabled when Precision Mode is toggled off. Users are in full control of this feature at all times.
ThinkMode+ injects additional user interface elements into the ChatGPT website, including a top bar, format selection bar, follow-up suggestion bar, and mode controls. These elements are added solely to provide ThinkMode+ features and are removed when the extension is disabled. The extension does not modify the content of ChatGPT's responses.
When the optional Auto-Zoom feature is enabled by the user, the extension adjusts the browser zoom level for chatgpt.com to 90% to improve layout density. This only applies if the user's current zoom is at the browser default (100%), so custom zoom preferences are always respected. This setting is disabled by default.
ThinkMode+ uses Supabase (supabase.com) as its backend infrastructure for user authentication and subscription management. When you create an account or sign in, your email address and authentication credentials are processed by Supabase. Supabase stores your account information (email address, hashed password, and subscription status) on its servers. Supabase may process this data in multiple regions. Their privacy policy is available at https://supabase.com/privacy. We do not store your password — it is hashed by Supabase before storage. The Supabase anon/publishable key included in the extension is a non-secret client-side key that grants access only to public data and authenticated user-scoped data via Row Level Security policies.
The thinkmodeplus.com website uses only essential session cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.
You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or managing your subscription on our website.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we handle, including HTTPS encryption for all web traffic, secure authentication tokens, and restricted access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account information (email and subscription status) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (for example, financial transaction records).
ThinkMode+ is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
